VR Sessions

Ten-session virtual reality course that teaches about driving and enables you to prepare for practical driving tests.

This 10-session VR driving course lets you build real confidence behind the wheel in a safe, controlled environment. Across the programme you’ll practise key skills such as overtaking safely, navigating traffic lights, handling roundabouts, and working through intersections with stop and give way controls.

You’ll also experience realistic merging, left and right turns, lane changes and general traffic flow, with the ability to repeat tricky scenarios as often as you need. The simulation is designed to feel like real driving, helping you to develop good habits, improve your awareness, and get ready for driving lessons on the road.

9:30 AM - 12 PM and 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Boost your driving skills with this intensive holiday program (usually taught over 10 sessions).
MINTEDVR teaches you reverse parallel parking, safe navigation through a range of intersections, changing lanes/merging and three-point turns.
Become a lifelong safe driver.
Course fee - $250

MINTEDVR Hawkes Bay and Gisborne is owned and operated by Vicki Kemp - Vicki is a former commercial pilot and driving instructor, she is uniquely equipped to bring our immersive, next-generation VR training to the region.

Christina's Sessions - Otara

9th March onwards

Mornings - 10AM and 11AM Evenings 6PM and 7PM

This 10-session course runs for 2 weeks, see the enrolment form for details on course start dates and timings.
Fees - $250 for the 10-session course
Some financial assistance may be available for eligible students.

Seeing the huge need in the community Christina Taoai started the Community Driver Licencing Workshop, a charity focused on enabling all to get a driver's licence and lead fulfilling lives.
